You read the web page or hear
from a friend and think ShootClubLA sounds like a pretty good idea.
Think of about a lot of characters or types
of scenes you'd like to have on your demo reel. These can include
things like, angry cop, scary bank teller, bomb diffusing scene, etc.
Try to have 3 times as many ideas as scenes because we have to match
you with other actors. You can also select from our list of
scripts that we have written to showcase different character types.
Scripts
Contact us to let us know you're interested, and how
many scenes you'd like to do, and that list of characters and/or scenes.
You will get an email letting you know the
next scheduled shoot days. We will then decide together which
days you will come and shoot on.
After sending us your ideas and have set a
shoot time, you will receive scripts for the days you will be working.
You will be a primary character in the number of scenes you are purchasing,
as well as possible secondary characters to shoot on the same day.
We will discuss and agree upon wardrobe, locations
and props. ShootClubLA has a small library of costumes and props.
You may be asked to provide some items.
An agreement is signed. This is to approve
the scenes and schedule. At this time, half payment is required.
Because other actors are counting on your participation, this insurance
is necessary.
You study and memorize your scenes.
Feel free to ask questions or make suggestions through email at this
time.
Show up to the shoot day. Come ready
to work. We generally go 2 hours per scene and can have up to
4 scenes to shoot in one day. We move fast and expect talent
to know their parts well. To keep cost low, we will occasionally
shoot on locations that we do not "own". This will
sometimes create problems that will cause rescheduling.
Show up to the rest of your shoot days.
Wait nervously until the scenes are editing.
Generally this is done in one week. The edited scenes will be
placed online. If you have a demo reel editing agreement, you will
then select the scenes to be placed in your new demo reel.
The finished scenes will be mailed to you
or ready for pick up in our Hollywood office.
Send out your DVD and put a link to your demo
reel on your resume.
